I remember seeing this as an issue in a forum post back in the ancient days so I figured I'd chime in with what I just found out. Maybe it's already been addressed and I'm late to the party.
One of the issues I had with patch creation in Kaivo was that my sample sources needed to be located in AppData/Madrona Labs/Kaivo/Samples which, on my compy, is a smaller SSD. It was a pain-in-the-ass to meticulously relocate all my samples when I wanted to use them.
So, futzing around today, I realized I could just use cmd or Link Shell Extension (HERE: https://schinagl.priv.at/nt/hardlinkshellext/linkshellextension.html) to make a Junction between my samples folder and Kaivo. Of course, it becomes impossible to load after a certain amount but at about 25 GB its relatively fast, which is dope.
